Ownership and Publisher

Progressive Physics Journal (PPJ), E-ISSN 2722-7707, is owned and published by the Physics Study Program (Program Studi Fisika), Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Mulawarman, Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The journal was first published in year of Volume 1 and is published twice a year, in June and December.

Management

The journal is managed by an editorial team appointed by the Rector of Universitas Mulawarman through Decree 3443/UN17/HK.02.03/2024 The editorial team consists of the Editor-in-Chief, editors, section editors, and administrative and technical staff, supported by a board of peer reviewers from various institutions. The current composition is listed on the Editorial Team and Reviewer pages.

The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the scientific content and for all editorial decisions. The publisher provides administrative and financial support but does not interfere in editorial decisions, which are made independently and based solely on peer review, scientific merit, and relevance to the journal's scope.

Funding and Revenue

The journal is funded by the Physics Study Program and FMIPA Universitas Mulawarman. Submission and peer review are free of charge. An article processing charge of IDR 150,000 is payable only after acceptance and is used to cover operational costs such as editing, DOI registration, and online hosting. Payment of the fee has no influence on editorial decisions. The journal does not carry advertising.

Platform, Identifiers, and Preservation

•      The journal is run on Open Journal Systems (OJS), hosted on the servers of FMIPA Universitas Mulawarman.

•      Each article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through Crossref.

•      The journal is indexed in Garuda, Crossref, Google Scholar, Indonesia One Search, and Dimensions.

•      Published content is preserved through e.g., the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) / LOCKSS / Garuda.

Accreditation

PPJ was accredited SINTA 5 by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Decree No. 177/E/KPT/2024) for Volume 2 Number 1 (2021) to Volume 6 Number 2 (2025).
