Abstract

Confirmatory factor analysis is a multivariate analysis method that can be used to confirm whether the measurement model is built in accordance with the hypothesized. In the confirmatory factor analysis the researcher must determine the number of indicators and the relationship between the indicator to construct on the basis of the theory. The purpose of this study was to determine indicators of what can and that gives the largest contribution in the selection of survey courses with confirmatory factor analysis method. Constructs in this study is the construct of cost, image, motivation, and socioeconomic backgrounds. The fourth construct each measured by four indicators. The results showedthatconstruct ofcostswiththe largestcontributionis indicatorX3 (fee in accordance with the quality of education offered) of 0,619. Then to construct of image with an indicator variable X8 (courses demand by prospective students) provide the largest contribution of 0.969. Motivation construct gives the greatest contribution with indicator X10 (hope easy to get a job) amounted to 0,972. Latent constructs of socioeconomic backgrounds greatest contribution is indicator X15 (job / profession parents influenced me in choosing a course of study) of 0.684.
