Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Guidelines for Authors
Journal Focus: The journal publishes high-quality, original research and review articles on environmental topics, with a particular emphasis on studies related to tropical rainforests and their ecosystems in the tropical hemisphere. Submissions should provide significant contributions to the field of environmental science, conservation, and sustainable management of tropical rainforest ecosystems.
General Submission Requirements
- Originality: Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration or published elsewhere.
- Language: All submissions must be in clear and concise English. Authors for whom English is a second language are encouraged to seek professional language editing services before submission.
- Ethics Compliance: Authors must comply with ethical guidelines, including avoiding plagiarism, ensuring proper citation of sources, and securing appropriate permissions for copyrighted material.
- Submission Format: Manuscripts should be submitted electronically through the journal’s online submission portal.
Manuscript Structure
- Title Page
- Title: A concise and informative title (title case, 14 pt, bold, centered).
The title should be brief and should not exceed 20 words.
- Author Details: Full names, affiliations, and email addresses for all authors. Clearly identify the corresponding author.
Author name(s) (12 pt)
Author affiliation(s) (10 pt)
Address(es) of the institution(s) at which the work was performed (10 pt) e. Name, postal and e-mail addresses, and phone and fax numbers of the corresponding author to whom the revision or galley proofs of the paper are to be sent (10 pt).
The affiliation address for each author should be indicated by superscript Arabic numbers (1, 2, 3, etc.).
- Keywords : 10 pt, italic
Immediately after the abstract, : 4-6 relevant keywords in alphabetical order. Please avoid general terms, multiple concepts (avoid, for example, and or of), and abbreviations.
- Abstract: 12 pt, bold
Articles must include an abstract of 200 words or fewer. The abstract should not repeat the information already present in the title. The abstract should be written in English and in Bahasa Indonesia (10 pt).
- Main Text
- Introduction: 12 pt (bold)
Including state the research problem, objectives, and significance of the study (10 pt)
- Methods: 12 pt (bold)
Provide sufficient detail for replication, including study site descriptions, sampling methods, and analytical techniques. Only new methods should be described in detail. Cite previously published procedures in References (10 pt).
- Results: 12 pt (bold)
Present findings clearly, supported by tables and figures. The Results section should include the rationale or design of the experiments as well as the results of the experiments.The Discussion section should be an interpretation of the results rather than a repetition of the Results section. The Results and Discussion sections may be combined into one section when substantial redundancy cannot be avoided if they are put into two separate sections or when a long discussion is not warranted (10 pt).
- Discussion: 12 pt (bold)
Interpret the findings in the context of existing literature. Highlight implications, limitations, and recommendations for future research.
The Discussion section should be an interpretation of the results rather than a repetition of the Results section. The Results and Discussion sections may be combined into one section when substantial redundancy cannot be avoided if they are put into two separate sections or when a long discussion is not warranted (10 pt).
- Conclusion: 12 pt (bold)
Summarize the study’s main contributions.
Four basic steps to take in writing a conclusion: Summarize your research, spell out your contribution, state the limitation of your study, and suggest potential areas of further research, or what did the researcher discover? Collect and summarize the most important results & their implications, the status of the problem should be briefly reviewed before the new findings are presented.
- References: 12 pt (bold)
- Use a consistent citation style (e.g., APA or Chicago). Ensure all references are cited in the text.
- Supplementary Materials (if applicable)
- Provide additional data, figures, or tables as supplementary files.
Formatting Guidelines
Prepare the text in Microsoft (MS) Word (version 7.0 or later)
- Font: Arial, 12 pt.
- Line Spacing: single-spaced, left and right aligned, on two column format
- Margins: the upper margin of 2.5 cm, the lower 2.5 cm, and the left and right each 2 cm
- Page Numbers: Include page numbers on all pages (bottom right page number) 9 pt
- Figures and Tables: Place figures and tables at the end of the manuscript or embed them within the text near their first citation. Provide descriptive captions.
Tables
Tables should be typewritten separately from the main text and preferably in an appropriate font size to fit each table on a separate page. Each table must be numbered with Arabic numerals (e.g., Table 1, Table 2) and include a title. Place footnotes to tables below the table body and indicate them with superscript lowercase letters (a, b, c, etc.), not symbols. Do not use vertical rulings in the tables. Each column in a table must have a heading, and abbreviations, when necessary, should be defined in the footnotes.
Figures
Figures should be provided separately from the main text. Use Arabic numerals to number all figures (e.g., Figure 1, Figure 2) according to their sequence in the text. The figure number must appear well outside the boundaries of the image itself. Multipart figures should be indicated with uppercase and bold font letters (A, B, C, etc.) without parenthesis, both on the figure itself and in the figure legends.

Review Process
- Manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer-review process.
- Initial review by the editorial team for scope and format compliance.
- External reviews by at least two experts in the field.
- Authors will receive feedback within 8-12 weeks.
