Uji aktivitas antikoagulan ekstrak propolis Trigona laeviceps terhadap darah mencit (Mus musculus L.)

Abstract

This study was to describe the anticoagulant activity of propolis extract of Trigona laeviceps on the bloodof mice (Mus musculus L.) of clotting time and blood smear morphology were determined to evaluate the effect of the volume of extract of propolis Trigona laeviceps. A-250 µL blood of mice was mixed with various volume of propolis extract viz. 210 µL, 250 µL, 280 µL and 320μL extract propolis Trigona laeviceps to examine anticoagulant effect and compare with negative control group (K-) without treatment and positive control group (K+) 250 µL of 10% EDTA concentration.The results of the analysis of blood clotting time showed that propolis extracts had a potential anticoagulant due to it can prevent blood clots. The anticoagulant activity of extract propolis was suggested at volume 210 µL which was characterized by the morphology of blood cells that has shape intact and contact separate from one to the other.
